Adding a weather forecast preview before launching career mode races

Diablo_21 (PE) Xp: 13998
Hey everyone, I have a suggestion regarding how weather is handled in the online career mode. Right now, when we queue up for a career race on tracks like Overpass or Switchback, we do not get a clear indicator of what the weather conditions will be until the race actually starts loading. This makes choosing between engine, tires, and nitro upgrades feel like a guessing game.

If I queue up with a heavy engine build expecting a sunny race on Skyline, but it turns out to be a foggy or snowy race, my car is completely undrivable because I did not equip wet or snow tires.

My suggestion is to add a simple weather forecast icon on the career mode lobby screen before we hit the ready button. It could show a preview of whether it will be sunny, rainy, snowy, or foggy. This would allow players to quickly swap their upgrades to match the track conditions. It would add a great layer of strategy, letting us decide if we want to risk a high-nitro build in the fog or play it safe with tire upgrades. What do you all think?

What, you don't enjoy the pure thrill of loading into Switchback with slick tires during a monsoon? Where is your sense of adventure? Seriously though, my engine and tires are tired of me guessing wrong. We definitely need a forecast!

What, you don't enjoy hydroplaning straight off the side of Switchback because you brought slick tires and maximum nitro to a monsoon? Where is your sense of adventure? But jokes aside, playing weather roulette on Overpass is exhausting. I would love to actually use my brain for tire strategy instead of just praying to the rain gods during the loading screen.

Last night on Switchback, I equipped my drag tires and top-speed engine upgrades expecting a dry run. It loaded into a torrential downpour and my car handled like a shopping cart on ice. I slid into every barrier and lost my podium streak. A simple weather icon in the pre-race lobby would save us so much frustration.

Having a weather forecast on the lobby screen is exactly what we need. Right now, choosing between wet tires and dry setups for Overpass is pure guesswork. Your suggestion would actually let us strategize our engine and nitro upgrades properly before the race starts.

I see your point, but I actually enjoy the unpredictability. Having to prepare a balanced setup for Switchback without knowing the weather beforehand adds a realistic challenge. It forces us to adapt our engine and tire choices for any condition rather than just min-maxing for a guaranteed dry or wet track.

Having to guess whether to equip wet tires or top-speed nitro for Switchback is so frustrating. Your idea for a pre-race weather forecast is brilliant and would add real strategy to our career mode builds.

Last night I queued for Switchback with my drift setup expecting dry asphalt, only to load into a massive downpour. I spent the entire race sliding into guardrails because I had slick tires equipped. A simple forecast icon in the lobby would save so much frustration.

While I understand your frustration with the current system, I actually prefer not knowing the weather beforehand. Having to adapt on the fly on tracks like Switchback forces players to build more versatile setups instead of just min-maxing for specific conditions. It adds a realistic element of unpredictability to the career mode that keeps the races exciting.

Having to guess the weather on Switchback is incredibly frustrating. If we could see a quick forecast in the lobby, it would also let us actually utilize our wet-weather tire compounds and rain-optimized engine tunes, which currently just sit in the garage gathering dust because nobody wants to risk equipping them blindly.

I literally lost my tier-3 promotion race on Overpass last night because of this. I gambled on a heavy nitro drift build, but it ended up being a complete monsoon. I was basically ice skating out there while everyone who randomly guessed wet tires cruised past. A simple forecast icon in the lobby would save so much frustration.

Would this preview just be a simple static icon, or are you hoping for a dynamic forecast that shows if the rain will start mid-race on tracks like Switchback so we can actually plan our tire strategies?

What, you don't enjoy the pure adrenaline rush of sliding off Switchback on racing slicks during a surprise monsoon? Where is your sense of adventure? But seriously, guessing between wet tires and a top-speed engine build has turned my career mode into a casino. My virtual mechanic is crying. Please give us a weather report so we can stop wasting credits!
