Best spots to use nitro on Overpass during sunny career races

Hawk273 (GR) Xp: 23972
Hey everyone, I have been grinding the career mode lately and wanted to share some thoughts on the Overpass track. Since it is one of the faster tracks when the weather is sunny, I see a lot of people wasting their nitro upgrades on the wrong sections. Most players seem to blast their nitro right at the start or immediately after the first major curve. In my experience, that actually hurts your lap times because you end up carrying too much speed into the narrow overhead bridge section and hitting the side rails. Instead, I highly recommend holding your nitro boost until you clear the second wide bend and hit the long underpass straight. If you have at least a level three engine and decent tires, you can activate nitro there to reach maximum top speed without losing grip on the transition. This simple strategy shaved almost two seconds off my personal best in the division four career tier. How are you guys managing your nitro setups on this specific track? Do you prefer saving it for the final stretch or using it early?

You are spot on about that first curve. Wasting nitro there just ruins your line. I always save my boost for the long back straightaway right after exiting the tunnel. On sunny days, the traction is perfect there, allowing you to reach absolute top speed and shave seconds off your lap time.

Do you recommend saving the nitro for the long straightaway leading up to the bridge, or do you find it's better to use it on the uphill climb to maintain momentum?

I learned this the hard way last week. Kept boosting right off the starting line on Overpass and ended up spinning out on the warm asphalt. Now I hold off until that long back straightaway under the second bridge. Saving it for that stretch actually helped me finally beat the Tier 3 boss yesterday.

I used to do exactly that until last week. I started saving my nitro for the exit of the S-curves leading onto the long bridge. In sunny weather, the traction there is perfect, and I managed to shave two full seconds off my personal best in the Tier 3 career championship. It makes a massive difference compared to wasting it early on.

You are absolutely right. Burning nitro right after that first turn usually ends with hitting the barrier. I always hold mine until exiting the long S-curves onto the back straight. Since it is sunny, the tires grip perfectly there, letting you reach absolute top speed and shave seconds off your lap time.

You hit the nail on the head. Burning nitro right after that first turn just wheelspins you into the wall. I always save mine for the long back straight after the S-bends. With the sunny track conditions, you get perfect traction to actually sustain that massive top-speed boost all the way to the final chicane.

Please delete this post! How else am I supposed to win sunny career races if you teach these rookies not to blow all their nitro in the first five seconds of Overpass? I survive on the pure joy of watching them fly headfirst into the barrier right after that first curve.

I used to lose the Tier 3 sunny event on Overpass constantly until I stopped boosting at the start. I started saving my nitro for the long straightaway after the third S-curve. Suddenly, I went from fifth place to gold, shaving off three whole seconds. Now I never touch the boost button until I clear that twisty section.

Finally someone says it. Blasting nitro right after that first Overpass curve is such a rookie mistake. Saving it for the long downhill straight is how I finally beat the pro times in sunny weather. Your strategy is absolutely spot on and will save a lot of players from ruining their career runs.

You are spot on about that first curve trap. Blasting nitro there just ruins your line for the S-bends. I always hold my boost until the long back straightaway right before the overpass incline. Since the sunny track offers maximum grip, you can easily redline your top speed there without spinning out.

You are spot on. Blasting nitro right after that first curve ruins your line for the upcoming chicane. I always save mine for the long back straight leading onto the main overpass. With the sunny weather giving us maximum grip, you can easily sustain top speed there without spinning out on the transition.
