Adding a test track mode to try out upgrades before career races
Hey everyone, I have been playing the career mode a lot lately, and I have a suggestion that I think would really improve the overall experience, especially for players trying to optimize their builds.
Right now, whenever we purchase a major engine, tire, or nitro upgrade, the only way to see how it actually performs is by jumping straight into a competitive career mode race. This can be super risky. For example, if I upgrade my engine to the max but keep stock tires, my car becomes almost uncontrollable on a rainy Switchback or a snowy Overpass. If I fail the race because of this, I lose career points and ranking.
My suggestion is to add a basic "Test Track" or "Free Practice" mode. It could be a simple, non-competitive menu option where we can select any track we have unlocked, like Skyline or Switchback, set the weather conditions to sunny, rain, snow, or fog, and just drive a few solo laps. This would allow us to get a feel for how our new tire grip or nitro duration behaves under different conditions without any stakes.
It would save a lot of frustration and let players experiment with different upgrade paths safely. What do you all think? Would this be hard for the devs to implement since the tracks and physics are already in the game?
