Career mode upgrade costs are way too high for casual players

Rayo_84 (HR) Xp: 25730
I have been playing RacingGame for about three months now, and I really love the track design, especially how different Overpass feels compared to Skyline. The weather mechanics also add a great layer of strategy. However, I wanted to share some feedback regarding the economy in the online career mode.

Right now, the grind to get the final tier of engine and nitro upgrades is incredibly steep. When you get to the later stages of career mode, having maxed-out tires is basically mandatory to survive a rainy Switchback run or snowy conditions on Overpass. But the cash payouts for winning career races do not seem to scale well with the exponential increase in upgrade costs. It takes dozens of perfect races just to afford one level-five engine upgrade.

For players who can only log in for a few races a day, it feels like we hit a massive progression wall. I think it would be much better if we got a small daily bonus for the first three career races completed, or maybe a slight increase in payouts based on the weather difficulty of the track. Surviving fog or snow should reward us with more cash than a standard sunny race. What does everyone else think about the current progression speed?

Spot on. You perfectly captured how amazing Overpass and the weather mechanics are while highlighting the brutal grind for those final engine and nitro tiers. Hopefully the devs read this and balance the career economy for us casuals.

I understand where you are coming from, but I actually think the high cost for the final engine and nitro tiers is healthy for the game. If those upgrades were too easy to get, we would lose the sense of progression and everyone would have maxed-out cars within weeks. Working hard for those top-tier parts is what makes reaching the endgame so rewarding.

I completely agree. The grind for those tier 5 engine parts is exhausting, especially since race payouts are so low. If you want to be competitive on Skyline or Overpass, you are basically forced to stick to just one car because upgrading a second one takes months. They really need to buff the career economy or lower the part costs.

You hit the nail on the head. Overpass and Skyline are absolute masterpieces of track design, and the weather effects are brilliant. But the grind for those top-tier engine and nitro upgrades is just brutal for those of us with limited playtime. Outstanding feedback, I really hope the devs take this economy tweak to heart.

I totally agree. Last weekend I spent six hours straight running rainy races on Overpass just to afford a single tier-4 engine block for my GT. By the time I finally unlocked it, I was too burnt out to actually enjoy racing with it. For those of us with full-time jobs, this economy feels like a second shift.

I understand your perspective, but I feel the high cost of the final engine and nitro upgrades keeps the career mode rewarding. Having a long-term goal makes unlocking those top tiers feel like a real achievement. If the grind were too short, everyone would have maxed-out cars instantly, which would take away from the progression and the variety we see in online races.

Your comparison of Overpass and Skyline is spot on, those tracks are absolute masterpieces and the weather effects make every race feel fresh. You also made a fantastic point about the online career economy. The grind for final tier engines and nitro is just too punishing for those of us who can't play daily. This is really constructive feedback.

You absolutely nailed it. The track design on Overpass and Skyline is incredible, and the dynamic weather is a masterpiece, but the career economy is just exhausting. Forcing casual players to grind dozens of hours just to unlock the final engine and nitro tiers is holding this game back. Thanks for putting this into words so perfectly.

Wait, you don't want to spend three lifetimes grinding for a single nitro upgrade? How else are we supposed to fly off the Overpass barriers at mock speed? Seriously though, you're right. The economy makes it feel like we need a real-world second job just to afford that final engine tier. Let us casuals have some fun!

Sounds like someone has been spending a bit too much time admiring the weather on Overpass instead of grinding! But seriously, you are not wrong. At this rate, I will have to sell my real-life car just to afford that final nitro upgrade in-game. Those top-tier engine costs are absolutely wild.

Sounds like someone needs to spend less time admiring the rain on Overpass and more time grinding those credits! Just kidding, those final tier nitro costs are absolutely insane. My virtual wallet is crying.

Do you think they should lower the actual credit costs of those final tier engine and nitro upgrades, or would it be better if they just increased the payout rewards for completing races on complex tracks like Overpass and Skyline?
