Adding a weather forecast indicator in the career mode lobby before matchmaking

Diablo_21 (PE) Xp: 13992
I have been playing career mode heavily over the last few weeks, and while I love the challenge of adapting to different weather conditions, the lack of preparation time is becoming a bit frustrating. Right now, we get matched into a lobby and immediately thrust into the race on tracks like Switchback or Overpass without knowing if we are going to get sunny skies or heavy fog. If you queued up with a heavy engine build optimized for sunny Skyline, and suddenly you are dropped into a snowy Switchback race, your car is basically undrivable because your tires and nitro setup are all wrong.

My suggestion is to add a simple weather forecast icon in the career mode lobby before the countdown ends. Even a simple icon showing rainy, snowy, sunny, or foggy would give us about fifteen to thirty seconds to quickly swap out our tire or engine upgrades to match the track conditions. This wouldn't make the game any easier, but it would definitely reduce the frustration of losing career points just because of bad luck with the weather RNG. It would add a nice layer of strategy to the pre-race phase instead of forcing us to run balanced, mediocre setups all the time just to be safe. Let me know what you guys think!

What, you don't like blindly sliding off Switchback in heavy fog with dry tires? Where is your sense of adventure? But seriously, a weather app for our virtual garage would save so many of my front bumpers.

Going into Overpass or Switchback completely blind is so stressful. A weather forecast in the lobby is exactly what we need to make career mode more strategic. Being able to choose the right tires and car tuning for heavy fog before the matchmaking begins would save so much frustration. Really hoping the developers see this suggestion.

What, you don't enjoy the thrill of sliding off Switchback because you brought slicks to a heavy fog fight? Real racers just squint and hope for the best! But honestly, having a quick weather forecast in the lobby would save my rear bumper from some very embarrassing and wet moments on Overpass. Let us pack our umbrellas, devs!

Would you want a dynamic forecast that can change mid-race, or just a simple icon in the lobby showing if it is wet or dry so we can choose the right tires for Overpass and Switchback?

Do you think the forecast should just show a simple icon, or would you want a detailed breakdown of the rain probability so we can actually pre-select our tire compounds and aero setups before loading in?

I completely agree. It is so frustrating loading into Overpass with a dry setup only to find out it is pouring. Having a simple weather icon in the lobby would let us actually choose the right tire compounds and adjust our car tuning beforehand. Right now, it just feels like a lottery rather than a test of driving skill and strategy.

If they add a forecast, would you want it to let us change our tire compound and tuning setups right there in the lobby, or just be a visual heads-up so we aren't shocked by fog on Overpass?

This is a must-have feature. Not knowing the conditions makes choosing the right tire compound a complete guessing game. If we could see a simple forecast in the lobby, we could actually adjust our car setups and aero for wet tracks like Overpass instead of just hoping for the best. It would make the competitive matchmaking feel much more strategic and fair.
